On March 9, Mrs. Jessica Hilewsky took 84 Corunna High School students to the Zekelman Holocaust Center in Farmington Hills, MI. Students received a tour of the museum to see artifacts, pictures, and exhibits featured. Furthermore, students were able to hear a second-generation speaker share her dad's story of survival. With all of what's going on in our world today, students can apply the lessons of the Holocaust to their own lives, their world, and to stop hate.
Due to poor driving conditions, Corunna Public Schools will be closed Friday, March 11. Childcare will be open.

We would like to take the opportunity to invite all of you to our first annual Corunna Jazz Night. This is going to be a fantastic evening of food, live music, and dancing provided by our very own CHS Jazz Band . We will also have dance lessons and a silent auction.
This event will be held at the newly refurbished Z Hall, formerly the ZCBJ Hall, on April 9th from 6:00-9:00PM. The doors will open at 5:30 with their famous chicken dinner starting at 6:00 and entertainment starting at 6:30. Tickets need to be purchased by Friday, March 25th and are $20 each. Take a step back in time and support a worthy cause! Corunna Bands presents Jazz Night - an evening of dinner and entertainment featuring the Corunna High School Jazz Band. Doors open at 5:30 pm; dinner begins at 6:00 pm. Tickets are $20 per person. Browse our silent auction, purchase 50/50 tickets and of course mingle! Dinner is the Z Hall’s famous Czech chicken along with sides and a beverage. Craving something sweet? Our cookie bar will be open featuring our homemade classic cookies from old fashioned recipes; grab a box and fill it for $5!

Corunna High School students from the FFA program brought a special surprise for Elsa Meyer Elementary first graders . The older students shared information about the 10 -day old piglets. including what they eat, where they sleep, and what they will do with them this summer.

Thank you to everyone who came to the "Date Knight with a Queen" dance last night. The dance was amazing! It was wonderful to see the smiles and to know the memories will last long after the music ended.
Fifth graders at Corunna Middle School are exploring volume through a fun, hands-on activity. Students drew "nets" (flattened 3d shapes) on grid paper, cut them out, and taped the sides together to create rectangular prisms. They then filled the rectangular prisms with cubes to discover the volume of the prism.
Students in first, second and third grade at Elsa Meyer Elementary recently took part in a very special performance at the Wharton Center! Thanks to a grant from the Wharton Center and our WONDERFUL PTO, all our students were able to see a musical of the popular children's book, "Dogman".
