PHILOSOPHY
We believe:
Children learn through hands-on experiences. Children develop life-long skills and learning during their play. We balance the need for a structured routine with freedom for children to choose activities based on their own interests. We promote independence, problem solving, social skills, critical thinking, and physical growth. We do this by devising developmentally appropriate environments. Staff are present with the children during all parts of their day to facilitate their development. We foster creativity, individuality, respect, and responsibility by nurturing the whole child. We set positive limits to motivate children to do their best work and set high expectations to further establish a child’s success in their world. All children are welcomed and honored as unique individuals who are encouraged to grow in a secure, supportive community.
Corunna Public Schools Children’s Services Programs are dedicated to providing affordable, quality preschool, child care and enrichment programs for our community. Our programs, curriculum, and environment are professionally designed to meet the needs of families.
Our goals are:
To create a secure, nurturing place for children.
To provide activities planned to enhance the physical, social, emotional and intellectual growth of each child.
To encourage children to develop independence, cooperation, creativity and self esteem.
To recognize each child as an individual with unique needs and talents.
To work together with parents to provide support for the family.
