Like many districts across the state and country, we have struggled to find new bus drivers when our drivers leave or retire. The demand of drivers is greater than the flow of new qualified applicants. We have had to juggle routes, and look to alternative transportation to some athletic contests.  Our transportation department is a dedicated group of caring individuals.  They are pitching in when needed, wear many different hats, and do everything possible to meet the demands of transporting our most precious cargo.  October 17-21 also marks School Bus Safety Week and we are proud of our department’s excellence.  I  know our district offers competitive wages, the opportunity to work year round, and to be enrolled as a member of our professional staffed health clinic that includes no copay for visits or prescriptions.  Please call (989) 743-6338 if you would like to become a Cavalier bus driver!
