The Shiawassee County Health Department is sponsoring another first dose Pfizer COVID vaccination clinic for interested 16-17 year-olds on Friday April 30, 2021. Second doses will be on or around May 21, 2021. If your student has already received a COVID vaccination or you are not interested, please ignore this email.
If you are interested, please follow the link below to register. A parent/guardian will need to attend with the minor student. The location is still to be determined, but you will be contacted directly by the health department with a scheduling link. Please share with other families with 16-17 year-olds that may not have email.

🆀 What are the benefits of artificial turf?
🅰 Here is a bulleted list of rationale:
Increased access for our students
-HS Band (practice and performances)
-MS Band (practices)
-Youth soccer (practices and tournaments)
-Youth football (practices and games)
-Spring sports (all) during “warm but wet” weather
-Phys ed (MS, HS)
-LP students
-Inclement weather no longer inhibits competitions
-Saves on water and maintenance costs
Average cost of maintenance per year on a grass field ≅$30,000 (Average cost of maintenance per year on a turf field ≅$5,000)
Roughly 6-7 “man hours” a week 150 gallons of gas a year
Use of 15-25 gallons of paint each week during the season

Hours used on field can be used elsewhere in district for maintenance and repair
