A reminder that tomorrow is virtual Friday, so students will not come to school, but can complete the optional learning plan in the Nellie Reed Parent Update 1/22/2021 https://docs.google.com/document/d/1R6_kiC3BdcYp0T8bzok8TCCbcHpniKagm0hoJe2XaTw/edit?usp=sharing Our focus for the next few weeks with students will be rhyming and we are asking for your help. Remember all those silly nursery rhymes we learned as kids, well they were really important in helping us become readers and writers. Rhyming is a critical skill in emerging readers because it teaches them sounds, patterns, predictions, how language works, pre-writing skills, and other important skills.
